Our mission at Conlon and Associates is to provide the East London community, as well as correspondent firms, with quality legal services as well as general legal guidance. Borne out of a desire to attract and maintain clients, and to support the community, we boast a range of specialised legal services to suit the needs of the public at large. Laila studied at the universities of Fort Hare and Rhodes. During her years of study, Laila Conlon worked both in a local law firm, as a candidate attorney, and thereafter in the legal department of the local council, Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. After being admitted to practice as an Attorney, she received her Right of Appearance in the High Court in Arisha studied at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, and was awarded a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) in After finalising her studies, Arisha completed her articles and practiced as a Professional Assistant at Neville Borman & Botha Attorneys, a firm established in During this time, Arisha undertook and handled various matters on behalf of the Standard Bank of South Africa, the Road Accident Fund, as well as on behalf of the Office of the State Attorney. After being admitted to practice as an Attorney, she received her Right of Appearance in the High Court in Andre completed his studies at Stellenbosch University in 1992 when he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees. Andre worked in partnership with a number of prestigious firms after relocating to the Eastern Cape, before finally opening his own boutique law firm specialising in conveyancing matters. Litigation refers to any legal proceeding in a court of law, or judicial contest to determine and enforce the legal rights of individuals and/or legal entities. These publications are intended, as indicated, to serve as guides. To this end, they contain summaries of the general legal principles applicable to various legal areas of interest, as at the date of publication. We assist various clients in the area of recoveries and foreclosures, including foreclosing on mortgage, notarial or surety bonds, as well as debt collection. We are able to assist in ejecting tenants who are in breach of their lease agreements, and the collection of arrear rental owing in respect of the lease agreement.
